Editorial: neutrality tested by the chokepoints

On 6 August 2026, Le Courrier published my op-ed "La neutralité à l'épreuve des goulets", neutrality tested by the chokepoints. It ran online that Thursday and in the print edition of Friday 7 August, on page 2, the Regards page, under the Agora rubric.

Le Courrier is a Geneva daily founded in 1868, published five times a week and run by a non-profit association rather than a media group. Its tagline, "L'essentiel, autrement", the essential, differently, is a fair description of its editorial line: a small, fiercely independent newsroom that keeps a real opinion space, Agora, open to outside contributors. The piece appears in French, three weeks before the Swiss vote of 27 September on neutrality.
